How to host

Everything you need for a happy game night, on one page.

1. 1

   Show the big screen

   Open Lamplight on a TV, laptop or projector and tap “Host a game”. A room code appears.

   Everyone joins on a phone

   They scan the QR code, or go to the join page and type the 5-letter code. No app, no account.

3. 3

   Choose a game

   Pick a game and a level for your group. For little ones choose “Little Lamps”: with “Read questions aloud” on “For little ones”, their questions are read aloud by themselves.

   Children without a phone

   Add them with “Add a guest”, pair them with a grown-up, and give them the answer cards.

5. 5

   Play, then talk

   After each game, read the scriptures together. Each one opens on jw.org. A short question to talk about closes the game.

6. 6

   End the night

   Tap “End game night” when you are done. Use “Share tonight's verses” to send the scriptures to the family chat.

Good to know

• Tap “Full screen” to fill the whole screen.
• Up to 40 people can play in one room.
• Everyone picks their own language when they join.
